Meet The Authors!

WELCOME TO MY COVE!!!

I hope this little place where you come to visit from time to time will bring you a good amount of peace, enjoyment, relief, suggestions, ideas, talk, and lots of fun.

This is a very exciting time for me and I am happy to be sharing this wonderful experience with all of you. It’s a little daunting though and I’m a bit nervous, since I am 64 and that classifies me as an oldster. I’m sorry to have waited so long but that’s probably a good thing, because now I have a whole lot more to say. It all stems around encouraging and promoting family unity and closeness and creating a bond that will inevitably become the memories of you and your child’s past; an awesome reward in itself!

That’s my crusade; to encourage as much family bonding as possible and highlight the wonderful benefits that come from bringing your family close together. The benefits are everlasting!

So, here we go! I’m ready! I am Deborah Lomax-Reid, but you can call me Deb, Debbie, or even Meatball, which was my father’s nickname for me when I was a little girl and is also my pseudonym for The Family Bonding Books. – I am a retired Philadelphia school teacher with 31 years of teaching experience, 25 of which were spent teaching in the Philadelphia school system. I have three adult children who are proof to me that too much time passed by much too quickly. I am married 14 years to a wonderfully patient and supportive guy who is my critical eye and ear and also partners with me to write our music. What I hope for this site is to engage parents, teachers, administrators, friends and interested folk to connect, share, and enjoy the exchange of ideas and experiences that might aid all of us in our quest to keep our families close and connected.
